“To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one’s self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived—this is to have succeeded.”-Bessie Anderson Stanley

A Leader's success is not about the physical wealth created by the leader. Success is all about the fulfilment of the desires of the inner self in every man and subsequently impacting the lives of others. Taking the family set up as an example, a mother is said to be successful if she is able to nurture her children to the acceptable ways of society morally. A teacher is said to be successful if his or her student can stand up and say "if not for my teacher i won't be here". A mentor is successful if the mentee is able to acknowledge the assistance of the mentor in his or her development.

Success is all about achieving a personal goals that impact positively on the people close to us. Without our goals impacting positively on those close to us, we have not succeeded. Our success should be an inspiration to others, it should challenge people both near and far. That is what the success of a leader does to his followers.

Have you succeeded yet?
